The APTS welcomes Magali Picard as newly elected president of the FTQ - APTS

Montréal – The Alliance du personnel professionnel et technique de la santé et des services sociaux (APTS) congratulates Magali Picard and Denis Bolduc on their election as President and General Secretary of the Fédération des travailleurs et travailleuses du Québec (FTQ). As the FTQ convention draws to a close, the APTS also pays tribute to outgoing president Daniel Boyer for his important contribution to the Québec labour movement.

“Magali Picard’s track record as a union activist and leader, and now as the first woman and the first Indigenous person to be elected president of the FTQ, is very inspiring. Speaking on behalf of our APTS members, we are proud to be able to work with her ― and with the entire FTQ team ― in our upcoming battles. She can count on our full and unreserved solidarity,” declared Robert Comeau, President of the APTS.

The APTS has teamed up with the FTQ, CSN and CSQ in the new round of public-sector contract talks that is starting up.
