The APTS welcomes the reelection of Éric Gingras as CSQ president - APTS

Longueuil – The APTS (Alliance du personnel professionnel et technique de la santé et des services sociaux) congratulated Éric Gingras on his reelection as president of the CSQ (Centrale des syndicats du Québec), paying tribute to his steadfast leadership and commitment and acknowledging the importance of his contribution as a partner within Québec’s labour movement.

“Éric Gingras’s reelection tells us that union members trust his ability to defend their interests with vigorous determination,” said APTS president Robert Comeau. “We’re eager to continue our work with the CSQ to handle the many difficult issues faced by public service workers. On behalf of APTS members, we’re offering him and his team our full support and solidarity.”

The APTS worked closely with the CSQ, FTQ and CSN throughout recent contract talks to renew public sector collective agreements. Their inter-union solidarity continues today, taking various forms as they mobilize against the plan to centralize and privatize Québec’s health and social services system under the Santé Québec agency. That’s a plan for the health system that’s about anything but health!
