Letter or agreement no33 - Regarding certain rules for recognizing attendance at work
The parties agree to pay a lump sum to recognize the work attendance of employees who belong to a team that is managing their own schedules as defined in Letter of Agreement No. 32, in activity centres that offer services twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, and who work the number of hours stipulated for their job title in the List of job titles, job descriptions and salary rates in the health and social services system (List of job titles). The lump sum is paid according to the following rules:
- Employees receive a lump sum of one hundred dollars ($100) when they work the number of hours stipulated for their job title, excluding overtime, for a two- (2)-week period that corresponds to the pay period.
- Employees receive a lump sum of two hundred dollars ($200) when they work the number of hours stipulated for their job title, excluding overtime, for a second two- (2)-week period that corresponds to the pay period following the first period.
Employees may receive a maximum of three hundred dollars ($300) per four- (4)-week period under this Letter of Agreement.
At the end of the period of four (4) consecutive weeks, employees may again receive the abovementioned lump sums, in the same sequence and according to the same rules.
For the purposes of applying the above, when employees take authorized paid absences set out in the collective agreement, the lump sum is paid in proportion to the regular hours they actually worked during the reference period. Employees who are absent for any other reason lose their eligibility for the entire lump sum for the period in question.
This Letter of Agreement ends on March 30, 2028.
